<p>I am at a state college right now and plan to transfer to a private college my sophomore year. What are my chances of getting into a college like NYU, Skidmore, Colgate, or Middlebury?</p>
<p>I didn't have the best grades in high school.
Had a 3.0 and a 25 ACT score.
I only joined like 3 clubs in high school but studied abroad in South America and then took a year off and volunteered at an animal rescue for 3 months in South America.
I plan on studying abroad in China 2nd semester of my freshmen year.</p>
<p>Does volunteering and clubs effect chances of getting into those college?
Or do extra circulars not matter much?
If clubs and volunteering matter, what should I join, a club that goes with my major?
I am an Anthropology major right now but will probably change it.</p>
<p>Should I transfer in the fall or is it easier to get in if I apply for the spring semester?</p>
