transferring to privates only... Help please!

so I'm a freshman at a CC in Cali right now and I want to get out as fast as I can! The plan is to transfer to a private, and my school has a minimal amount of info so I need all the help I can get. The schools I would love to transfer to (in order) 1. Notre Dame 2. Vanderbilt 3. Brown 4. USC 5. NYU 6. Georgetown 7. Penn
UCs would be a safety because of my schools transfer agreements

My high school stats were:
GPA: 4.1
SAT I: 1920
*Critical Reading: 660
*Math: 610
*Writing: 650
ACT: 29 composite
SAT II: * Literature: 650
* Math 2C: 680
Graduated top 10% of class

EC's

3 Years Girls Golf
ASB Vice Pres and Commissioner of Athletics
Founded Spanish National Honors Society at my school along with a tutoring program
CSF sealbearer
NHS-2 years

I got into LMU and UCSB (rejected from SC and LA) but my heart wasn't into either.

My agenda for this year is to be as involved as I can with school, and get a 4.0 with these classes that I plan to register for...

Poli Sci
possible humanities honors class
will take English 1B in spring, passed out of English 1A with Lit AP test
I am in the process of completing sociology and communication arts in summer school

THANK YOU FOR READING THIS FAR! If you have any helpful advice on what additional courses I should take or if you could CHANCE me I would be extremely grateful!

first off, your high school stats are good and you got into some really good schools (ucsb and lmu)!

my advice to you is to continue being really active on campus as that shows you are still extremely interested in making the campus a better place and you really care about other students and teachers. also to maximize your chances of transferring to those colleges, i suggest to aim as close as a 4.0 as possible (cliche, i know but true!)

other than that, i hope you are doing great in your summer classes and best of luck in your transfer admissions process (even though you probably wont need it seeing as you are a great candidate!!)

oh and I should add that I want to major in communications and minor in poli sci!
thanks mathmajor :)

your welcome!

btw, does your username refer to the character on sex and the city?? i loved the movie!

cbradshaw, the only real advice we can give you is keep the GPA as high as possible. It plays much more of a role in transfer admissions than in freshman admissions.

Also depending on when you would like to transfer, your HS stats will play less and less of a role on your application. Are you trying to do a sophomore or junior transfer? If you’re doing a junior transfer, get yourself involved in some extra-curriculars (preferably with a leadership position) or get a job.

For the schools that still want SAT which is most or all here, you’ll want at least the average score for a freshmen admit, so retake or try the ACT.
