I'm currently a freshman at IUP, and its just not the college i fell in love with.
So i'm looking into transferring to PSU
I plan on finishing up freshman year at IUP and transferring for fall 2012

Some Backround
I'm a finance major.
I was accepted in to Smeal out of hs

My question is what do i need to do to transfer, what gpa should i shot for and what are my chances of getting in.

Lots of info here–
[Penn State Undergraduate Admissions](http://admissions.psu.edu/academics/majors/requirements/transfer/)

However,
“Transferring to Penn State University Park-- Transfer students to Penn State University Park must have taken two years of full-time college coursework before the time of transfer.”

Thanks,

I guess Smeal is different because Smeal says

No transfer admission into any program in Smeal College for applicants who have completed 3 or more semesters of college coursework.

That may be true for transferring directly into Smeal, but you should be able to get in if you transfer into DUS (Division of Undergraduate Studies) to get into U-Park, and then apply to the Finance Major in Smeal after your third semester. I would call the admissions office, because talking to them might give you a better answer.

I will give admissions a call. Does anyone know the recommended date to apply for transfer for fall 2012
