I'm currently a sociology/ political science sophomore at CU Boulder, starting at Emerson College for my freshman year.

I just got into Puget Sound with a really great scholarship ($20k annually), and though I've enjoyed my tours and interviews, I'm still having a hard time trying to get a vibe on the student culture and classroom environment.

For anyone who's transferred, or known transfer students at Puget Sound, how would you characterize these things, as well as the experience of being a transfer student? CU has had virtually no resources for being a transfer student, so somewhere that provides a special orientation/ other accommodations would be really ideal.

Additionally, I've read that the queer/LGBT community is well-tolerated, but little beyond that. For anyone who's experienced that aspect of Puget Sound, what is that "scene" like? Emerson's was thriving, CU is virtually nonexistent.
