Transferring to Rutgers

Hey guys!

If anyone can give me an opinion or help me out here, it will be greatly appreciated. I am currently a freshmen at Penn State University in University Parks, but i am looking to transfer to Rutgers New Brunswick for the spring 2011 semester, reasons being personal. I applied as a high school senior last year and got emitted into the arts and science and biological science schools. I applied a few weeks ago and sent in my final high school records and everything. This time there are only a few school openings so i only applied to engineering and arts and sciences; i don't care what school i get into, but rather arts and sciences. This morning i checked my Rutgers status and it shows that the engineer school denied me, the arts and science is still in process. I was actually semi discouraged and disappointed, what are the chances of me getting into the arts and sciences school? I mean i did have a failing grade in Calc AP in my final high school transcript, do you guys think that affect their decision for admitted me for the engineer school or any school for that matter?

There are far less openings for transfer students than incoming freshman, so the standards will be increased. It doesn’t really make sense to speculate as to why you didn’t get in to the engineering school - just keep your sights on the chance you have left. It’s also hard to chance you for the other school without any of your stats, and it’s especially tricky with transfers. All I can say is that I wish you the best of luck!

Whats your college GPA at penn state at how many credits did you apply with? how many in progress?
How are your HS stats and SAT scores?

You are applying for spring 2012 right?
