Hello my name is Eric, I have been going to a community college. Recently I have made the decision that it is time for me to find a 4 year school. I decided Temple was the best school for me. I applied for this upcoming spring 2013 semester. As of right now my application is complete and ready for review. I have 46 credits as of now and my GPA is 2.88. I also had some of my past professors write me recommendations. There not required but I thought it will help show my character and my dedication. Do I have a shot of getting in? Any advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

In terms of admission to Temple, it doesn’t matter what specific classes you have–it’s all about your overall GPA and academic progress. Our average transfer student GPA is a 3.00 and we prefer at least a 2.5. If you are admitted, then we evaluate course by course to show you what you are getting transfer credit for.

That is directly from an assistant director of admissions at Temple.

hope it helps

so they prefer a 2.5? So do you think i have a good shot with a 2.88?
