Transferring to Texas A&M

I'm currently attending a community college for years (unfortunately) due to being indecisive based on what to choose to major in.Well I have finally chosen what I want to major in Computer Science, and minor in either Geography or Geospatial Science.

I have found out that in order to become a Geospatial Information Scientist & Technologist I would have to have a Computer Science degree, and or a Geospatial Information Systems(GIS) degree as well.

Anyways my question is would Texas A&M accept me if I have a GPA of at least 3.0?

Also I'm having to retake this Calculus I course since I got and F this last fall due to having lots of things happen all at once.

Is it true that Texas A&M takes the average of all the courses that you have taken for the second time? For an example I got a 59 in Calculus I, then end up with a 91 and average it both in which it would give me a 75/C ?

You might also want to ask on the TAMU forum (under Alphabetic List of Colleges) and/or the TX Colleges forum (under College Search & Selection, State colleges).
