I'm a freshman student at a non-Washington state community college. I am also a Washington state resident. I am considering transferring. I want to know how difficult it is to transfer as a bioengineering major to the college, assuming I have met all of the requirements? Does anyone have any experience with BioE at this school? Also, I noticed that there is a BME Society at UW but no BME major. Does anyone know about UW and BME?

Someone please reply. :(

Also, considering that I'm planning on transferring after just my freshman year, there will be more weighted placed on my high school performance than had I decided to transfer after my second year?

I'm afraid I don't know anything about BME at UW, although I would expect them to be strong in that area. I suggest you dig deep into the websites of related departments, and also get in touch with the BME Society.

I think your performance at community college will be looked at pretty closely. If there are problems in that area, do what you can to fix it.

I actually don't attend a CC right now. Thanks Moominmama. Anyone else?

Bring up my post.
