I know it's a little late in the year to be starting this, but I'm in the process of apply for transfer to Tulane University of Louisiana. I'm currently at RIT in their Molecular Bioscience and Biotechnology program. I had a 4.0 first quarter and it looks likely that I'll get another 4.0 this quarter. In High School I had around an 89 average (I took 1 enriched and 5 AP classes but we didn't weight our GPAs). We didn't have "official" class ranks, but I'm pretty sure I was around the top 1/3. My high school was decent, but nothing special, ranked 87 in NYS. On my SATs I got a 630 on reading, 680 on math, and 600 on writing. I was also involved in a few ECs: Ski club, scrabble club, newspaper club, volunteer work at the hospital, some Spanish tutoring for my senior project and a volunteer trip in my Junior year.
Anyways, what do you think my chances are? would it be wise to retake me SATs? I'm fairly confident I could a decent bump, but I would have to register late and take them in about two weeks.
Lastly, does anyone have any opinions on the school? What are the students, academics, and campus like? Are people generally happy there?

I don’t think SAT scores that you took got as a freshman in college will enhance your transfer chances… can you even take them in college? You should honestly be fine with a 4.0 for your first year at RIT. Good luck!

I also forgot to mention that I did drop one class, but I’m retaking it next quarter. Would that affect my chances?

…Anyone?
