so i’m thinking about transferring to both of these schools but I wanted to know which was better? which one is easier to get into as an out-of-state transfer student?

Why are you transferring? Why do you specifically want to transfer to school in AZ? And what program(s) are you looking at? For which is better, it really depends on the program. ASU is probably easier to get into, but OOS tuition in incredibly high, so I hope you have a lot of money.

ASU has a 97% acceptance rate…but like emerlus said, it kind of depends on the program. UofA GENERALLY has better academics. It’s a little bit more expensive if you’re out of state, but it’s worth it. It’s a good education. I think a lot of ASU students go for the wrong reason and that is to party. Partying is big at UofA too, but we get our work done. Also, a lot of ASU kids that I know have a SERIOUS drinking problem…haha

Based on your post, I am guessing you are a UofA student. I’m an ASU student and I’m pretty sure I’m getting a good education. I didn’t come here to party; I came here on scholarship. It’s the biggest school in the country. Also, as far as I can tell my classes aren’t really that different from my friends at University of Wisconsin, a far better (at least in terms of ranking) school than UofA. There are some programs in which UofA is superior (I don’t know which specifically as I don’t go there, but I know there are many). There are some ASU is superior in (Business and Engineering come to mind, as well as having the better honors college, and I’m pretty sure there are others). And there are many other differences, things like location and the campuses. It all depends on what you’re looking for.
