Im new to CC so if this is posted in the wrong place, I apologize in advance. I originally applied to UA and was accepted. Although UA was my first choice, my parents made me go to a different four-year college in Alabama. I would now like to transfer to UA, but a friend told me that it is very unlikely that I will be accepted again as I turned them down once. As far as anyone knows, is this true? Also, is transferring from another in-state four-year school much more difficult than transferring from a community college or an out-of-state school?
Thanks for your time.

Your friend is wrong. Bama won’t care that you applied before and went elsewhere. Bama accepts many transfers from CCs and other state univs, so that’s not an issue. My son’s roomie was a transfer from UAB.

Submit your app. Good luck.

Students transfer to UA all the time from all over the country, AND in Alabama. Go for it! RTR!
