Transferring to UC Davis ( Food Science Major) with a 3.15 GPA

Hey every one, I have recently applied to UCR, UCSB, & UCD (along with some CSU’s) as a food science major. My GPA is 2.85 as of right now. However, I just finished my fall semester with two A’s and a B which brings it up to 2.98ish. I still have 3 courses to take in spring semester of which I am retaking two F’s. I’m hoping with A’s and this will raise my GPA to at least a 3.15. Can anyone who is qualified please offer some advice as to what I should do If I don’t meet the requirements or what my next step should be or if I even have a chance. I really want to get into UC Davis. Please any advice is greatly appreciated!

From what I understand, UCD is more of a reach than the other two. My knowledge about UC’s is limited though. Good luck!

Unfortunately your spring grades won’t be factored into admissions decisions for Fall 2015. If you don’t get in, your only real option is to reapply for 2016 with the improved grades, and maybe take additional courses fall 15 to bring your gpa up even higher.
