As the title states, I intend to transfer to UCLA into their Theater Arts BA program in the fall of 2011. Those that have done so, what is required of you to get in to the program? My GPA is what will hurt me the most and I currently will be finishing all of my classes that are necessary to transfer into the school by the end of this upcoming fall term. I've read that for those that transfer into their program you need a 3.0, but is that really true? Do they also want an essay from transfer students, or is that only necessary for those that are seniors in high schools?

I have already picked the playwrights for my audition pieces. Those playwrights are Harold Pinter and Aristophanes. I currently do not know which of their plays I should choose good monologues from. However, if I have to then I will look at other playwrights. For any of those with a vast knowledge with these playwrights, what monologues would you choose for a young 20-year-old male looking to have a phenomenal audition? I know there is an interview portion to the audition, what sorts of questions do they ask and what are they looking for in a prospective student?

Any help would be greatly appreciated and I look forward to your responses.
