Is History impacted at UCLA? And what are some stats a transfer applicant should have? In the event that a TAP student applies with Anthropology as an alternate major is it possible to switch into History once admitted? Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!

Here are last year’s stats:

[UCLA Undergrad Admissions: Profile of Admitted Transfer Students by Major, Fall 2008](http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/Adm_tr/Tr_Prof08_mjr.htm)

49.3% acceptance rate. Avg GPA of admitted students was 3.64.

History is impacted, but not as competitive as many others. Switching majors does seem to be pretty difficult @ UCLA, but double majoring seems possible. You may want to explore this avenue if you don’t get into your first choice major.
