Transferring to UF after one year?

I understand that to transfer to UF from either a community college or another FL state school, I need either 60 credits or an AA. if I was to complete 60 credits by my first year in FSU or a CC, could I transfer after my freshman year? Would it be better to do a year at FSU or Santa Fe? Also, UF’s website says it is extremely competitive to transfer into the school of business, and I want to major in marketing. It says that they “highly recommend” applying for transfer with the “bachelor of arts in business administration-general studies”, would this provide me with the same benefits and career opportunities as a marketing major? Also, from what I understand from what the website says, if I have a 3.5 and all my credits I’m guaranteed transfer admission with this major? Also, if I transfer, could I add a minor degree?

Thanks so much for your help.

To answer the first part, our friend is transferring after one year but e will have 60 credits. I’m not 100% sure about this but I know marketing isn’t as competitive of a business major as finance or accounting.

@pitt2021 thank you! Do you happen to know if the 60 credits have to be 60 credits of the major requirements or just 60 college credits? Because I’m considering self studying for a few AP’s this year in order to have more college credits, but will these count towards the 60 necessary credits if they’re just AP courses not related to my major?

I’m sorry I don’t, I assume just 60 credits
