Hi, I was wondering whether I would have a higher chance transferring to UF from Santa Fe community college, or from University of Central Florida.

I know I would get a better education at UCF, but my ultimate dream is to end up at UF! So please help, where would I have a better chance transferring from?!

There’s not much difference, I was accepted to UF and I went to freaking broward community college. Just keep a high gpa 3.5+ and you should have no problem.

According to UF’s admissions website, transfer priority is given to students who earn an AA from a Florida community college. I’d say that if you are sure you want to go to UF, your best bet would be Santa Fe. I took a couple of transient classes at Santa Fe and I was impressed. They are much more organized and helpful than my regular school.

@Lookbehindyou – how long ago did you transfer? Because I heard that they have cut down on their acceptances on transfers. And did you get your AA from the Community college?

@agmama – do you know if going to a community college now would affect grad school? Like would they choose someone who went to a university or does it not matter?

I don’t think it matters as long you got the grades they are looking for. I’ve heard of people going on to law school who attended CC. My zoology professor went to a CC.
