I was accepted to UF as a freshman and chose to go to a private university in FL instead, a decision I now regret. I want to get into the business program at UF (I’m a finance major). I had a 3.88 GPA this semester and am classified as a sophomore because by the end of the semester I’ll have 53 credits. I would be applying for Spring 2016 because I still have 4/5 prerequisite courses I need to take (potentially calculus if my business calculus doesn’t transfer over, stats, intro to computers, managerial and financial accounting). I’ll probably take 1 or 2 courses at a CC over the summer to get them out of the way. I’m a member of a sorority, I’m in the Republican club, I’m a writer for a school website, and I’m in a financial club. I would also like to get an internship or job this summer. I heard that it’s really competitive though. Do I stand a good chance of getting in? Is there anything I could do to increase my chances? I know I could get in if I wanted to pursue a BABA but I would prefer to stay in finance. I’m so stressed out
So the help you need here is just “assess my chances?”
Your stats seem good and you look like you’re trying hard. I would definitely not discourage you from applying there again, especially since you already got in before.
I’m not really understanding the cause for so much stress here…
@eyo777 I should have gone there originally and regret not doing so. I’m really stressed out because I’m worried I won’t be accepted again as a transfer student!
