Transferring to UF or UCF

I'm currently attending a Florida community college and I don't yet have an AA, but I'm going to apply to UF and UCF for the Fall 2012 semester as soon as I get my grades. I got straight A's this semester which will bring my GPA up to a 3.1. I'll get my grades and apply in mid May, and the deadline is July 1, so it's fairly late but not right on the wire.

What are my chances? I've already written a great essay to go along with my app, saying how my grades weren't so great in high school but over the years they have steadily gone up, resulting in my straight A's this semester. I will have some solid recommendations from teachers too.

I'm afraid that they're going to come back at me and say that I should just earn my AA from my community college then apply again. I don't want this because I'm already 22 and by the time I get my AA I'll be 23. Plus I want to go in the fall semester because that's when most people make their friends.

Thanks for any input.

Sorry, my SAT scores are

Reading: 610
Math: 440
Writing: 570

And I took the SAT II in World History and got a score of 500

So to sum up:

GPA: 3.1

SAT: 1620

SAT II (World History subject test): 500 ← yes I know this isn’t very good

Good recommendations

5 or 6 community extracurriculars
