Transferring to UGA

Hello all,

I'm a second semester freshman at GGC who will be a sophomore at the conclusion of this semester. Initially my plan was to attend this college for two years and transfer to UGA, but I dislike it here so much that I'd prefer to get out as soon as I can, which is theoretically in fall or the spring.

I am leaning towards business because ultimately I think that's the realm I'm going to be working in (I do want to talk about the pros and cons of the business major in a different thread.) I've heard that the Terry School of Business is one of the most selective places to transfer to in UGA.

I will (barring something unusual happening) have a 4.0 and 32 hours at the end of this semester, but I've only taken one science class and no math (I actually have one drop on my record, and it is a math class.) The rest are history/english/government type of courses and 10 of the 32 hours are non-GPA hours that I earned through AP and CLEP. I feel like this makes a fairly weak case for applying to such a selective area of the school after only one year, but I don't really know.

I have been involved in some clubs as well that might add something to the application, but I'm really trying to get a general sense of my strengths and weaknesses with regard to UGA specifically and Terry SoB. If you have experience with this area, please let me know!
