Hello, I'm a upcoming sophomore who is trying to transfer to either University of Maryland, College Park or Towson . UMD is my first choice however. I really slacked for in my last two years of college and graduated with a 2.8 so I will not be using my SAT scores or high school transcipt but instead applying with 30 transferable credits. I met with an advisor from UMD who toldme what classes to take and an admission officer who told me i just need to apply by the priority deadline and have a 3.0 or above but however, after my first year I ended up with a 3.0 on the dot! Should I still apply or wait until after another semseter so i can try and raise my gpa?

I would say go ahead and apply. You can always try again, and you met the 3.0 benchmark. Good luck! Chance me? <a href=“Should I transfer? - College Search & Selection - College Confidential Forums”>Should I transfer? - College Search & Selection - College Confidential Forums;
