I am currently a freshman at NC State and hope to transfer to UNC in the fall of 2006. I am an in-state student. I applied to UNC for admission in the fall of 2005 but was rejected and was hoping that I could reapply with a year of college under my belt. Because I already applied to UNC for freshmen admission and didn't get in I don't see a need to post my high school transcript although I will say it was a (4.0 weighted). Here are the college courses I am taking now:

First Semester:
Calculus I
Intro to Psychology
Chemistry- A molecular science
Introduction to Engineering & Problem Solving
Introduction to Computing Environments
Chemistry Lab

Academic Writing and Research

17 hours total

Second Semester(Planned):
Calculus II
Literature and Medicine
Fitness and Wellness
Physics for Engineers and Scientists I

Introduction to Cellular and Developmental Zoology

16 hours total

Clubs
Biomedical Engineering Club
Intramural Ping-Pong

I predict to have around a 3.5-3.8 gpa at the end of the year based on how well i've done on my exams up to now.

Based on this hypothetical situation, what are my chances of transferring to UNC-Chapel Hill and what should I do to increase my chances?

Opinions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
