Transferring to University of San Francisco Nursing Program from a Community College

Hey all,

Lately I've come to the conclusion that I want to become a nurse. I'm currently a community college student moving into my sophomore year looking to transfer with a 3.65 GPA. I have a few questions for anyone who can help me.

1) What is the Average Transfer GPA to the Nursing Program?

2) Are an extensive amount of community service hours necessary for admissions?

3) Having taken three of the four of the prerequisite course by the end of my Fall 2012 semester (Sociology, Psychology, Anatomy, and Physiology), will this affect my admissions to the nursing program? (Will the fact that i am currently enrolled in Anat and Physio and will take Microbio in the spring reduce my chances of admissions?)

These are all of the questions i can think of right now but ill probably post something else on this thread.

Thanks all for your time!

I’m heading up to SF tomorrow for a transfer student nursing seminar, hope it goes well!

If anyone knows the answers to these question please help!!

I’m trying to schedule and figure out how many hours i want to try to get done by the end of the summer and i want to get close to the number i need for transfer.

Please help!

Thank you Thank you Thank you
