I am currently a freshman at Skidmore college..but my aim is to get into usc..im wondering whether transferring to a Community College in Cali for next semester would help my chances in getting in...also if i apply as undecided or possibly as a econ major..what grades should I have to get a good shot...Also im wondering whether my SAT (which are pretty crap) would play a big role in whether i get accepted? Currently im on course to complete 30 credits by the end of the year

haha thanks for the help everyone..i know this is a lot of enquiries at once :)

USC is private, so being a CA resident won't help your chances (in fact, I read somewhere that USC starts admissions by breaking people up based on geographic location).

I was told by more than one USC admission counselor that the avg. GPA this past year was somewhere between 3.7 and 3.8. Some people, however, refuse to believe this is accurate, so do what you will with it.

Once you have 30 transferrable units, your HS and SAT records will not be an important factor in determining admission. Some say it's completely irrelevant, but when I applied, the website said it was not important (though I still sent it in).

I hope to be at USC next semester (if only I can get housing! :( )
Best of luck to you :)
