Hi!
Does anyone know what the transfer acceptance rate is at Wellesley?
Anyone who's transferred - any tips or advice about the Wellesley transfer admissions process?
Thanks! :)

…anyone? please?

I believe the best way to find that information is on the Wellesley website. Search for the “Common Data Set” published by the office of institutional research. Section D of the Common Data Set is about transfer admission policies and statistics. Two years ago, they had fewer than 200 transfer applications and offered spots to 47. Of the 47, 27 enrolled.

Also look at collegeboard.com

"Transfer admission stats for fall term:

Applied: 172
Admitted: 32
Enrolled: 14"

You can look up this data for any college. It’s under the “Admissions” tab.

I transferred to Wellesley this fall. They accepted 9 students, 6 in the sophomore class and 3 in the junior class. I’m not sure how many people applied.

Just a word of advice: Transferring is very difficult. Not just to Wellesley, but anywhere. By the time you get here, the people in your year will already have formed their routines and friendships. You just have to know that it’s not going to be as easy as entering as a freshman was. I know that in the end I’ll be happy I transferred here, it’s just taking a while right now to settle in. I would definitely be sure that you want to transfer before you decide to apply.
