Transferring to Yale

I applied to Yale EA and didn't get in. I thought that I would be happy after regular decisions and getting some acceptances but I can't help feeling like is still the place for me. Anyone have any clue how hard it is to transfer to Yale? Also, what kind of things should I do my freshman year at college and maybe this summer to help my chances? I want to do something really original to make me stand out a lot, but I have nooo idea what to do. I really want to plan out everything in advance, which is why I think I didn't get into Yale in the first place... left a lot of things to the last minute and didn't plan ahead.

::Sings Tony Bennett style:: I left my heart, in New Haven!

transfer rate is about 5%, that's what I've heard. :(

approx 30 transfers accepted per year, around a 4% acceptance rate. its not something you can just plan on, but it is an option if you continue to build on your portfolio and get as close to a 4.0 as you can in college.

well, 30 is horrible (not that I want to tranfer:)) that means if (4/100)x = 30, then about 750 apply. And I think these must be VERY strong applicants. Good luck.

hey u guys,

What do u think the "ideal" transfer student, for yale would be like?

pre1321, where are you now, if you don't mind me asking?
