Transferring, torn between two colleges.

I am transferring from a small college in Pennsylvania, Cabrini College. I'll be a sophomore next fall. I am torn between two colleges at the moment and I honestly have no clue which school I should go to. It's between Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia and The University of Tampa in Florida. Of course, I'm leaning towards The University of Tampa more because of the weather but I need help in making the right decision. Honest opinions please!

Here are my pros/cons about each school.

The University of Tampa in Tampa, Florida.
- About 7,000 students total.
- Warm weather is a definite plus!
- It's right in downtown Tampa, lots to do off campus.
- Has my major, Public Health.
- Kind of expensive, but affordable.
- City life, which I love.
- Close to Disney world.
- Kids might also be snobby & rich, I heard anyways.
- Might be hard for me to make friends.
- 1,100 miles away from home. Might get home sick.
- Greek life and leadership program.
- Offers many opportunities and internships.
- School looks overall more professional and seems to have much more to do.
- Afraid I'll get too caught up in partying/Florida life or not fit in with anyone.
- Might get overwhelmed by everything overall.

Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia
- My #1 school since my junior year in high school.
- About 12,000 undergraduates.
- Big school in a small country town with a football team.
- Has my major, Public Health.
- A lot cheaper than Tampa & my current school.
- Students seem to be a lot nicer.
- The surrounding area looks kind of boring though.
- Offers Greek life.
- Has an amazing REC center!
- Horrible weather, rains all the time and it gets super cold.. all mountains.
- About 8 hours away from home.
- Good disability program called HELP
- Country life, which I also love.
- We are Marshall.. the movie.

You sound much more excited about Marshall. I think you should not worry about the weather and the surrounding area and go to the school you love.

Marshall.

Sounds like you like Marshall better AND it’s more affordable. Go there.
