Transferring Twice?

I am currently a college freshman attending an out-of-state university. Due to family circumstances I have to move back to my home state and attend university there. I want to do this as soon as possible but most four year universities only accept transfers with a certain number of credit hours. I was wondering if it looks really bad if I transfer to a community college for the second semester of my freshman year. Will I still be able to transfer to a four year university in the fall 2018 semester?

It’s not really considered “Transferring” if you go to a community college for a semester or two, and its not looked down upon either depending on where you are planning to transfer to as well. State schools are the most understanding of these kinds of familial circumstances. You should have no problems and should meet with a CC counselor as soon as you can upon enrolling there.
