Transferring universities vs Transfer degree

I'm debating on some life decisions at the moment. For the record, I'm doing very well in my classes (currently 4.0), and I am still driven to keep it up. I currently go to Bellevue College , it's one of the top CC's in the area (particularly in terms of the science dept. UW tells people to finish their prereqs. for science here at BCC).

Right now I'm debating on two different paths for one outcome.
I want to transfer to a competitive university, and I believe I have what it takes.

I have two options:
1) Stay at BCC and complete my 3-year transfer degree (Electrical and Computer Engineering Transfer Degree). This way, I have time to build a really good application with good grades, EC's, recommendations, etc... I'm already getting involved in preparing to apply for undergrad research opportunities for the summer of my sophomore year, as well as preparing my internship resumes for this summer (I'm in the college's STEM program).
2) Transfer to WWU Spring 2014 OR Fall 2014 (which ever ends up being more convenient for me), making sure I have a strong GPA (striving for 4.0), and still transferring to a competitive university my junior/senior year (I have to go to school for 5 years for my degree).

I would like to transfer to WWU because of the fact that it is campus living, it tends to be easier to make friends and feel like you belong. I love it there, and I know I'd thrive. Here at CC, I'm prone to feeling lonely quite often. I like to be around friends. At WWU a friend of mine already introduced me to his group and they're super friendly and welcoming. I already feel like a part of the family you could say!
But I also want to be smart in terms of career options. Will it be harder for me to transfer to a competitive university when I already go to a university? For some reason I'm getting the impression that staying at Bellevue will make it easier for me to get accepted to a more prestigious school.
So I want to hear what others have to say.
I really appreciate the feedback!

Thank you.
