I’m currently a college freshman, would I be able to still apply regular decision to other colleges or would I have to transfer after one year?
I hope this is the right forum to post this… and a big thanks to anyone who can help.

This isn’t the right forum but I’ll try to answer your question anyway. I think you’re asking if you can reapply to colleges as a freshman … i.e., start anew … even though you have already matriculated in college. Is this correct?
If so, here’s the answer:
Once you have enrolled in college, you must report this to all future colleges when you apply. Even if you drop out and earn “F’s” or “Incompletes” for your first semester, you must put this on all subsequent applications.
If you have earned no credit or have only a few credits, most colleges will tell you to apply as a freshman, but you must fully disclose any previous enrollment and credits earned … even if your grades were bad and you want to start somewhere else with a clean slate.
Depending on how many credits you earned, if you’re changing majors or programs, etc., your transfer college may tell you that you will be starting as a freshman, but you do have to make it clear when you apply that you have already been to college, even if you were just there briefly.
If you’re sure you are not happy where you are right now, you can transfer to some other colleges or universities as soon as the next semester. Most colleges have November deadlines for winter entry, but they do vary, so check carefully … and soon.
Good luck!
