I'm currently a sophomore at Western Michigan University and I'd like to transfer to UMich for Fall 2013. I'm trying to pursue a double major in Business and English, and it's becoming increasingly difficult to meet the criteria for each major at my current school while also trying to meet transfer requirements.

How should I go about doing this? The advisors here are little to no help, and I plan to meet with at least one transfer advisor at UMich later this semester.
My goal is to transfer into the B-school, and I've been closely following the transfer page here: BBA - Stephen M. Ross School of Business
and so far, so good.
-Note: I'm optimistic about my credentials. I'll ask for chances later. I'm also aware that Ross is a three-year program.

There's no way I can match the pre-reqs for Ross and for English/LSA at the same time, especially since the English curricula at UMich and at my current school are completely different. Should I just focus on meeting the requirements for Ross, let the English credits transfer as proficiency, and take gen-eds instead? But I also want to remain conscious of the possibility that I may end up staying at my current school where these major classes will be important.

Any advice is appreciated!
