Transferring with Little Direction

I currently attend a small school in Maryland. I commute but am still involved in two clubs and I hold a job on campus. I am looking to transfer because I realized you can make a big school small, but you cannot make a small school big. I am hoping to look for schools up north, specifically in Massachusetts or Rhode Island.

I am a communication major and looking into Northeastern and BU. Possibly even URI or Providence College. My GPA is 3.7 at my current school and I am in good standing with the university.

Do I have a shot at any of these schools? Do you think I will be offered financial aid or merit based scholarships because of my GPA?

Any help I can get would be awesome, not sure how this all works.
