Okay well this is terrible. My roommate and I got caught smoking in the dorms a while back. We immediately stopped smoking in the room but we still would occasionally roll up a j and go for a walk. Well we got caught again this time someone said they smelled weed in our hallway, the campus police just came right in and searched our ****. Mind you we weren't even smoking. So now according to campus policy I'm probably getting my housing revoked. I don't want to stay at the school anymore if this is the case. It's just too dangerous here, everyone I know who smokes has been caught at least once.
My question is do I have any chance of transferring? The campus police never don't contact the authorities so my criminal record is still clean but I'm afraid that this will be on some type of college record. When I apply to transfer will the schools find out and will that make it impossible for me to transfer? Thanks ahead of time for any responses.

No, it won’t be on your transcript. There is a chance you might not leave in good standing, but unless you were expelled most schools don’t care about anything other than academic standing. You can always call and get this verified from your current school.

Call residential life and tell them exactly what you said here. Please be sure to include that it’s “too dangerous” to smoke there, so that is why you’re transferring.

Man, campus police at LMU just caught my buddy for this too! Where can smokers take solace in the public school system!?!?!

Oh yeah, UC Santa Cruz, doh.

thanks for the feedback. Does anyone have or know people with experiences like mine? I just want to make sure this is not going to be an issue.
