Transferring with missing pre-reqs

Has anyone actually transferred with missing prereqs? I'm missing one and I want to know if UCs actually take any students with missing prereqs.

Major? School applied to? GPA? ANYTHING? Why do people expect their questions to be answered with 0 details?

Plenty of people have transferred with missing prereqs. They matter more the more units the major has (e.g. engineering), the more impacted the major is, etc.

Depends on whether the major is impacted.

Thank you…

The question is simple. Whether they accept transfers with missing pre reqs or not PERIOD.

A yes or no answer is meaningless. If you’re applying to UCB Haas, you have a much lower chance of getting in if your prereqs are not completed; some would say no chance. If you’re applying to UC Riverside for something like sociology, it’s easily overlooked.

If you want a straight-up yes or no answer with no context, then yes. There you go.

Yes, they do, since some pre-reqs for some majors at some UCs (and CSUs) are not available at all CCs.

But if the pre-reqs are available at your CC(s), and you do not take them, that is likely to reduce your chances of admission, or of graduating in 4 semesters or 6 quarters after transfer.

Yes, but it depends on the major, like others have already said. Some majors are super strict about completing pre-reqs before transfer.
