Transferring with suspension on high school record

Will this be possible? and how much will colleges that I apply to transfer for frown upon this?

Was suspended in high school junior year for academic dishonesty. Yes, horrible, horrible stuff.

I'm going to be a senior this year, haven't applied to colleges yet, but I'm only going to apply to UCs and state schools... and maybe try to transfer my way up from there.

Also, not sure how my high school will go about my secondary school report form in a couple years as I'm not applying to private universities this year, so they won't have the form filled out for me individually when it comes time to transferring.

Some schools do not require high school info if you are transferring for junior year. (You can search this forum for threads about this topic).

Usually you go back to your high school over winter break and ask them to fill out stuff/ send transcripts.

Yes, but won’t all the private universities ask me if I’ve been suspended or not in high school? So I’ll have to talk about it anyways… but I was just wondering if it would make or break my application, even as a transfer, and even though the incident was several years ago

If you fill out the Common App then there’s a question about that:

Have you ever been found responsible for a disciplinary violation at any educational institution you have attended from the 9th grade (or the international equivalent) forward, whether related to academic misconduct or behavioral misconduct, that resulted in your probation, suspension, removal, dismissal, or expulsion from the institution?

I can’t speak for any of the other colleges you may be interested in applying too individually but for the most part a question like this is common.

Thanks for the info…

It seems as if I’m screwed for undergraduate now :(

My dream school is Stanford, but I would also love to go somewhere such as UChicago.

Has anyone had experience with a successful transfer with a blemished high school disciplinary record?

& What would you guys recommend me to do?

anyone else? I’m kinda desperate…
