Hi, I’m attending a 4 year university and am planning on transferring after my freshman year. For some of the colleges I’m applying to, for example UNC Chapel Hill, it asks one how many credits one will have by enrollment. I just want to clarify if this means that if I do not have 30 credits by August 20th or whenever classes start there, I will be a first year student versus a sophomore. By the time I finish my first two semesters of college, I will have 27 credits. I’m wondering if it would be possible for me to let’s say, write on the application that “yes I will have 30 or more credits by enrollment” and during summer enroll in my local community college for a sumer course worth 3 or more credits bumping me up to 30 credits by the “time of enrollment”. Could it work like this?
You need to contact UNC-CH to see if they would accept that CC course. Talk the options through with them.
