Transferring with W and Pass/Fail

Hi,

I attend NYU, and I would like to transfer to an Ivy, like Harvard or Yale. This semester has not been going well (horrible adviser, bad professor, family problems, bad roommate, etc.) and I ended up taking three sciences and one math course (this was thanks to my horrible adviser). But I began these courses too late into the semester to catch up on all of them. I bombed my bio exam, so I had to withdraw. Now, from the looks of it, I won’t be getting an A in physics; so I want to try it for Pass/Fail. If I have a W and Pass on a transcript, would this negatively affect my transfer admission?

I’m also pre-med. Would this affect med school chances, too?

I would say so. Harvard accepts <1% of transfer applicants. Yale 3%. Do you think you’re competing with people with Ws and P/Fs?

Would a med school even take a P/F for physics?
