Hello, I'm here to ask a question regarding transferring. At the current moment, I am a freshmen ungrad at CUNY Hunter. But due to certain family financial problems, I had to hold off on a semester. However I am still enrolled in Hunter due to my commitment due. So my question is, is it possible to transfer to a different school for spring semester, even if I haven't been attending any classes for fall semester? I am looking forward to transfer to SUNY Binghamton and would love to attend a full 4 years of Air Force ROTC. I did apply for SUNY Binghamton Fall 2012 and was accepted. Will I be able to apply for spring transfer?

ROTC will be a lot harder to start as a spring transfer, purely because other cadets in your class will be a semester ahead of you (in military knowledge, uniform stuff, etc). Can you wait until fall 2013 to join ROTC? If you’re not on scholarship, it will only affect your staff getting to know you and potentially putting in a scholarship app for you. Or you could wait to start school until fall 2013 and then you’ll just enter with the 2017 graduating class.

I was thinking about taking classes during the summer as well to help catch up. But I’ll think about that suggestion too. However, will I have to apply as a transfer or will I need a fresh new application?
