I am an accepted student to the BS in Applied Math program within the college of sciences, I would like to combine this with a double major from the engineering school in either industrial or civil engineering. Is it easy to do that? Is it easier to try and transfer to the engineering college (or is that impossible considering it's ranked #4 overall in the country...)

Any comments would be appreciated

You can transfer freely between colleges at Tech, so that is not an issue. The first transfer is free (before 60 hours). Any transfer after that requires the new school to approve the transfer, but they always do as long as you have a decent GPA and have completed the basic pre-reqs for that major.

Tech does not allow dual majors, only dual degrees. To earn a dual degree usually takes a minimum of 6 to 7 years and is very uncommon.
