Is GPA the only thing they care about? im goign to a CUNY with a 3.6 or so GPA. not honors or anything

probably ec's matter too...and the essayy

GPA, scores, EC, interest, essay ... everything.

I'd say email an Adcom if you really, really want to go. Keep close ties.

I did ... the Adcom told me that whenever students email him, he'd print it out and put it in their app folder. Sounds good to me!

wats an Adcom??

Admissions Counselor

On the Binghamton transfer site it says that you only need about a 3.0/4.0
So don't sweat it
Plus you must want to go so try ur best to demonstrate that in ur essays good luck
And to again answer your question GPA isn't the only thing that they worry about

You just need a GPA... at least that's all I needed. I wrote no essay. I put down no ECs, nothing. Not that I couldn't have written an essay or wasn't a part of any ECs, but none of these things were on the online application and you didn't need to fill any supplemental thing.

I had a 3.89 GPA after a year at Hofstra than transfer to a CC and had a 4.0 first semester. I'd think 3.6+ is still going to judged well, so dunno if you'll need to write a magnificent essay and have tons of ECs and all that... I feel like they care less about that for transfer students compared to HS students.

I could be wrong here though, I dunno there process. I just know I got into their SOM accounting program without putting any of that stuff down.

I half way applied - I sent in the tiny part I of my application with a 1 semester college transcript (GPA was 3.85) and I got an acceptance letter before I sent in any essays, test scores, recommendations, high school record, any other part of the application
