Transferring

Sadly…I was rejected. My scores and grades are all in line, and I really enjoyed my essay personally, so I’ve thought about it and decided that it probably had to do with my leadership. I did EVERYTHING in highschool because I really sincerely did want to try everything, and thus I was not Team Captain or Class President or some such. And now i’ve had to choose between Notre Dame and MIT and it has all been very drama-filled…but I still want to go to Brown.

So how does one go about improving their chances for transfer?

The most important thing is your college grades if you do want to transfer. However, these are outstanding schools that you were admitted to, and you may absolutely fall in love and want to stay. try to keep an open mind.

I'd go to MIT, but that's just me. I'm sorry you weren't accepted at Brown, our transfer process has been incredibly cut throat in recent years.

hey feedme,

sorry to hear about that. listen, you're still in a win-win situation with two fabulous schools. In your position, I would probably go with MIT. It has a sort of flair in the same vein as Brown and is in the largest collegetown in america. whatever you decide, best of luck

I'm a transfer. If you want to talk specifics instant message me.

And it may not have had to do with leadership. It's usually not that specific. Sometimes you just don't get in. Can't win em all.

u got into MIT? holy ****, go there if ur gonna do anything science/engineering. if anything else, come to brown, i think theyd give more consideration for someone wanting to come to brown from mit than from notre dame.
