transferring

I know it's a little late for this but I got rejected from all my colleges and I'm already thinking about next year. I was just wondering if anyone knew what the requirements/ statistics/ percent of admitted transfers for UVA was this year or previous years. Congrats to everyone who are admitted next year, you all will be so happy.

Don't forget you can always apply for transferring in for Spring Semester for next year. That means, you would only be taking off Fall semester.

Just keep in touch with the admissions offices of the schools you want. And do something productive with the time you are taking off, maybe try to find an internship or something similar. That will show the admission committee that you are committed to working hard for what you want and that you didn't waste the upcoming semester.

Oh, for some schools you already applied to you can just "re-open your application" and it doesn't cost anything extra. You just usually have to write some additional essays and stuff, but it's a good way to go about the process.

interesting uva transfer stats -- I wonder if those include transfers between the different schools here like transferring from E-school to Nursing.

k_jo, If he got rejected from all his schools then UVa is not going to accept him for a Spring Transfer because they won't have any college grades to go on and apparently his high school record is not that strong.

No those transfer stats don't include transferring from different schools within the university.

yea, but he might not be looking only at UVa. Or he could be going to take classes at a community college or something this fall semester, so there are still some chances. Oh, and then there is the offchance that is he did have a strong highschool record but ended up only applying to the ivies and 'reach' schools
