Transferring

Hi everyone. Well I'm in need of some advice. I absolutely HATE my school. The kids are mean, and it feels like everyone is out to get me. I made the lacrosse team, but didn't do so well, and I'm getting hammered with the mean comments. I walk down the halls and have kids saying that I suck. I ran for class office (6 people ran, only 5 gave speeches, me being one of the five), and I still lost. Everyone made fun of me cause I lost to someone who didn't even give a speech. That was the closest I have ever come to crying at school (I was just about up to here with all the ****) I am pretty smart, and everyone thinks I'm a nerd when I'm really not at all.. I just work really hard.

So, my question is do you think I should transfer, and have a fresh start? I'm a freshmen this year, and I would transfer into another school in the county (rival of my school) as a sophomore.

Do you think I should?

Any advice would be great!

Thanks in advance

come on… anyone???

Generic Response: “Do what your heart tells you”

My Response: You honestly have not found one group of friends that you match up with? Also, do you think that you are taking teasing to hard?

^not at all. It’s everyone, and they are really mean comments, like, “hey scrub… get the **** off the team, you blow *****.” and stuff like that

What do you do at lunch? Library? Hide?

hide
10 char

You’re going to be at this place for the next three years of your life. Transfer kiddo.

But I also concur with owen. It seems like all these mean comments are coming from people on your lacrosse team. The worst players on the team generally get picked on.

If you find a group of cool friends that you like, maybe your high school life won’t be that miserable.

it’s not the lacrosse team… it’s the lacrosse team player’s friends. Mainly dudes but a lot of girls say it too

Maybe quit the team?

I hated my school for a long time but I stuck it out and it did get a LOT better. Also, is the grass always greener on the other side? On the other hand, now that you’re in HS (I was in MS) your school experience is very important for you and for college so maybe you should transfer. Think about it. Once you identify the problem people and start answering back to them/ignoring them, your life might get a lot better.

Pack heat and send them to Hell…?

Seriously, everyone made fun of you? Are there 20 people in your class? How did everyone make fun of you?

Grow some thicker skin, find some people who you can hang out with (surely not everyone at your school plays lacrosse or is friends of lacrosse players), and stop worrying about others.

If you have the option to transfer, do it. Sure, you could get tougher and stay at your high school for another three years with the possibility of the situation getting easier, but I suggest just starting out fresh at another school.
