How welcoming and helpful are the university and the students towards transfers? Are there programs that aid transfers in getting settled? Do transfers tend to blend well or are they noticed by those that got in as freshmen?

My daughter transferred after her freshman year. She was wait listed as a senior, went to state flagship honors school, made 4.0 and transferred. They have a great orientation for transfers, and really work on establishing a community. My daughter has had NO issue being a transfer student, and no one really knows or cares. So many come in with extra credits, there are plenty of mixes of all ages in classes like bio, chem, calc, etc. my youngest goes there now, and she is REALLY enjoying the freshman experience! My oldest has a core group of friends she hangs out with… There is one other transfer student, and the rest have been there either 3-4 years. about 1/2 the group is Greek, other half not (my daughter is not). I can tell you that the transfer experience as amazing for her and her BFF and roomate. Best decision she ever made!
