transfers/ conditional transfers

Anyone transferring to Emory in the fall? I'm going to be entering as a sophomore and I'm pretty psyched. I'd definitely like to meet some other conditional admits or accepted traditional transfers.

Well, I’m applying to both Emory and Oxford. I don’t know if I’ll get in, but I feel I have a good chance. I’m definitely looking for friends before I get there. (:

I have conditional transfer to Emory for fall 2012. What school do you go to now?

what does conditional transfer mean?

I was waitlisted and they offered me a spot in the sophomore class if I fulfilleld the requirements, hence conditional.

Did you hear about your official conditional transfer decision already? I’m still waiting, but I’m part of the conditional transfer admission program as well

I haven’t, we’re supposed to get official decisions by may 1. But if we do everything they said were auto-admitted, right

If you fulfill the requirements established for your transfer, yes.

When do conditionals hear back? Is it May 1?

Hey guys! I was just accepted as a traditional transfer, but I’m not sure I’ll be attending! I haven’t visited the campus yet, and feel like I should at least see the school before enrolling, haha.
Where do you all go to school now? What made you want to leave? And, most importantly, why Emory?

Campus is beautiful! I go to University of Utah, I’m a conditional transfer so I was planning on leaving here anyways. Emory because of their NBB program and research opportunities. Not 100% sure I’ll be attending either as I’m waiting to hear back from another school. What about you antsyforcollege?

Yes, I’ve heard that about the campus! Actually, I’ve heard nothing but good things about almost all aspects of Emory. I currently attend Lewis & Clark College in Portland, OR, but I’m finding that it’s not the right place for me–people are not too concerned about their education, which I find hard to deal with since that’s what we’re paying for! I applied to Emory because I’ve heard great things about their writing program, and because Atlanta seems like a really cool place to be.

im from University of Florida

is there anyone else who still hasnt received conditional transfer admission?

I’m not sure. I’m conditional and I got my acceptance yesterday. When was your midterm report recieved? That affects when your decision is available.

April 2nd or 3rd. did you get it online or in the mail?

Hello~ I am also part of conditional transfer & looking forward to meeting you all in the fall!

got it finally! feel free to PM me so we can all exchange facebooks and stuff

Is there a Facebook group for Emory transfers? If not we should make one

^ USC link?
