Has anyone heard back yet?

Not yet… god I’m so ready to know though

Me too… It says on the application status page “Decision letters for Transfer applicants will be mailed by May 15”. Do you think they’ll notify us via email or do we have to wait for the snail mail?

It seems like they have every year in the past and they did this year for freshman. So I’m gonna be glued to my email all day! I’ll post whenever I find out.

Admission office said they would release decisions online later this afternoon. The status page has been down for the past several hours.

rejected and crushed

Also rejected.

waitlisted

Accepted on 15th May but it’s been nearly 10 days now… waiting on the letter regarding financial aid to come through. Can’t really go without enough aid
That said, I love Reed and I just hope things work out. Anybody else who’ll be joining me this Fall IF the financial stars align?

Congratulations!

I will be attending Reed this Fall as a transfer. Will you be attending as well?
Congrats, by the way!

@jkhjsci
I will be attending!

Congratulations to you too!

Where are you from?

@kd1993
Fantastic! I’m glad you’ll be heading to Reed!
I’m from Oregon. I finished my freshman year at Michigan.
You’re from India? I kind of stalked your post :/

@jkhjsci I’m from Kolkata (Calcutta), India. Good to get to know my fellow transfer students! I was given the option of joining the Junior year, since I’m a second year student here, but I’d prefer to join as a sophomore. So we’ll be in the same year! :)

What’s you intended major? Mine’s Physics.

I got accepted to Cornell too, but they’re not giving aid, however they stipulate that I should graduate by May '16, so… I dunno. I’m turning them down though. It’s a no brainer I guess, why go to Cornell for two years when you could attend class for 3 years at Reed, on ~75% finaid! What’s your take on that?

@kd1993

It’s great to get to know a fellow sophomore! Maybe we can meet sometime during orientation in August.

I’ve been thinking a lot about Reed’s interdisciplinary majors, particularly Biochem and Molecular Bio or Environmental Sciences; I’m undecided between the two. And Physics! You must be a math wiz; will you be working at the reactor?

In regards to Cornell vs. Reed, I think that if you’re happy with the prospect of spending your college education at Reed, then you’ve made a great choice! You probably gave it a lot of thought. Given the fact that I hardly know you and am not really in a position to evaluate your interests, I think the only thing I can say is that if you’re happy about Reed, then you’re good to go (financial aid doesn’t hurt either). :)

Thank you for your opinion @jkhjsci! I agree completely. I truly think Reed is my kind of college and the physics major at Reed is at par with any of (and better than that at some) the other top LAC’s and Unis.

I’m content. And will be attending Reed

I must admit I’m not a ‘math wiz’ but I find the math required for Physics easy enough to cope with. I am excited about the chance to work at the reactor, but there is a yearlong course that I have to take (along with the necessary exam) to get a license as an operator. I will be taking a very intensive courseload at Reed, so I hope I have time to do the reactor course!
