<p>has anyone here transferred or known some1 who has transferred from U of R into schools like NYU, Coluimbia, JHU, UPenn, etc. I'm probably going to URoch next year, but I want to be closer to home in NYC or at Penn/JHU. I was just wondering if anyone can tell me their experiences of transferring from URoch or even transferring in general. </p>

<p>According to the Common Data Set of 2005-2006, Rochester retains 95% of its incoming freshmen. You'd be hard pressed to find someone who transferred out of Rochester. I do know of someone who applied to transfer to UMass for the Fall 07 though. Reason: She wants to study International Studies, UR doesn't quite match up to the offerings at UMass in that area of study. She's 50-50 about it right now though.</p>
<p>this is a good topic. I was thinking the same thing, just in case i ended up not like rochester or their tutition becomes too much. The only problem I can see is that many school have some requirements to their acedemics which rochester doesn't, so you would have to be sure that they transfere and that u can graduate in the time (4 years) that u want instead of having to go a extra year.</p>
<p>Yeah...I know more people transferring into U of R than transferring out...some from NY area, FL, etc...</p>
