Transfers Housing...What did You get?

The website is here....

http://www.housing.ucla.edu/printandpay/

It's the second option.

I got Hedrick Summit, Shared Bath, Double.

I'm not happy with it (unless someone can tell me some good things about it) right now, and I'm planning on appealing.

Any others? How do we appeal?

I got the same thing. I wanted the suites, but i'm ok with hedrick summit double shared bath.

I got Westwood palms 2bedroom/3occupants. Anyone know what westwood palms is like?

Building: GAYLEY TOWERS
Room Type: STUDIO/TWO PERSONS

Anyone know anything about this?

I got Hedrick Summit
I havent heard anything about it (good or bad), so i hope is not bad

Same here Hedrick summit. By the looks of it it is one of the new high rises its somewhere between 7-9 stories high. I got a single shared bath. Is it that much cheaper for a double? Can anyone shed some light on this one? If I stay with the single it comes out to $3000 up front and $1,300 monthly food included. What will you guys be paying for your double?

Anyone know if cable and internet are included in the rooms? Or is this something that we have to arrange on our own? I figure as long as I got cable I'll be fine but I'm they should have internet available right? Also what's the recreation room consist of? Last, can we use our meal plan in any of the halls or just the one we are assigned to? I keep hearing that de neve has the best food by far and I want to go there instead.

I think you're in luck mex:

Located in three different areas within the residential community, the Residential Plazas, Sunset Village, De Neve Plaza, Hedrick Summit, and Rieber Vista house over 3,100 undergraduates. Most rooms are occupied by two students, some by three students and two new buildings contain over 330 single occupancy rooms. Buildings are air-conditioned, wired for computer network connections and cable television. Each building has a laundry room and study lounges.

Poo Yeah! I'm in the 400 club baby! ...sorry had to get that out there.

I got a single, too, in Rieber Vista, but a single on campus was my fourth choice... Should I be happy, since singles are in such high demand, or should I be bummed because of the price? Think I'll still meet people?

I think in the end especially around finals week you will be appreciative of the fact that you have your space and silence. Living alone is priceless as cliche as that sounds but you dont have to compromise with anyone and ofcourse you still will meet tons of people the doubles are not that cheap either btw

Well, that's true...but you can always study in the library or the lounge if you have to. I still prefer the halls if I had the chance to get them.

I got a Hedrick summit double, shared bath too. I guess they have a lot of those. I'm content with this because for heaven sakes its a brand new building! Now that I know where I'll be residing for the following school year I am so curious as to whom I will be living with. Aren't you?
