According to their Collegeboard profiles, NYU and USC accept transfers for the spring term.

How does that work? Will I have completed the fall term of whatever school by the time I submit my application?

Also, does Harvard conduct interviews for transfer applicants?
Or any other school in place of Harvard, for that matter.

I haven’t looked at the specifics of NYU or USC, but in general, you submit your application and get the decision while you are taking fall semester classes at your current school. You complete fall classes at your current school and then attend your transfer school for spring semester.

Interviews vary by school, and some schools do interview transfer students, but the majority do not.

So if that’s the case then, it would be like applying out of high school all over again; do Fall semester grades make a difference?

Yes, it’s like applying out of HS all over again, except that for many schools, the acceptance rate is lower for transfers than for fr admissions.

Fall semester grades will usually be available only after decisions are made; however, some schools do require mid-term reports.

Transferring for spring of fr year is relatively rare and is almost never an opportunity to transfer to a more selective college.

ahhh ok thanks

btw entomom, did you get my pm?
