Some of the schools that i am applying to, for transfer '07, do not require the SAT's, if you have not taken them. One of the schools i am applying to is Michigan, which requires SAT scores, if applicable. I have come to a decision on not sending them, due to the low score (1210 old). Question is, how will they know, since it's optional if you have'nt taken them, if i took them and just hid the score from them? Will they check to see if i have taken them? Will my application be abrogated, due to my failure to tell the truth? Thanks to any responce.

That's something that will never be answered. I would assume that with thousands of students, adcoms would not have the time to check all of the applications. However, I would also assume that adcoms are required to check the validity of students' applications from time to time.

So it is my conclusion(speculation) that adcoms will check the validity of a percentage of applications. But that's totally dependent on the school and its resources. I mean, applications are due what 7-8 months before schools send out notification letters. Depending on the size of the admissions office, number of applications, and requirements for acceptance, I'd say the chances of being caught could be high or low. But that's a risk only you can decide to take. I wouldn't take that risk though.
