Just wondering how many transfer students here applied to and were rejected from UCLA? I was rejected from UCLA today =( and now I'm losing hope that I will get into Cal. Someone give me hope!

My stats btw...
major-english
gpa-3.8
prereq- missing 2 b/c they are not offered at any cc in my area
essay- strong
EC- work
misc- non trad student/single parent

what college are you trying to transfer from?

I’m in the same boat. Rejected from UCLA today with a overall 4.0 and all my prereqs (soc major) and was hoping to get into Cal. I’m also transferring from a CCC. Now I’m terrified that I will be rejected from UCB.

I was rejected from UCLA last year for Econ with a 3.78 gpa and had done TAP. I got into Cal last year for fall, so keep your head up I know how you feel right now I’ve been there.

When I applied to UCLA, I was rejected. Though it probably had something to do with the fact that I had about one of their seven absurd pre-reqs done.

I’d have a hard time stomaching UCLA. Cal is much better, IMO.

geezz howd u guys get 4.0’s or close? don’t lose hope. sometimes berkeley accepts people who aren’t accepted at ucla.

Johnny, Thanks. It’s crazy, a few weeks ago I get a letter saying I’m a candidate for the Regents Scholarship (one of UCLA’s highest honors) and the UCLA CC Alumni scholarship, then I get rejected :-/

Trust me it’s cliche and I heard it plenty of times too “but a lot of people of who don’t get into UCLA get into CAL”, but it was true for me. This will feel like one of the longest week you guys. If you have any questions feel free to to send me a PM.
